All things around you are made by special process. It can be both simple and difficult. You can try to have a look at the results of plastic extrusion process. You can find them everywhere. It can be at parking area, train and even on the sweeper. Those examples can be found with various sizes, shapes, colors and designs and at wide field applications like medical, industrial, retail, packaging or even foods and beverage. You can just find those great things made by plastic extrusion process everywhere.

Are you interested to find out about the extruded plastic tubing process? It is quite easy to know. The raw plastic materials are collected into one place and get melted. After the melting process, the melted raw plastic is shaped into small beads. It is usually called as resin. The resin is automatically moved into extruder barrel before it finally gets extruded. Almost near on the barrel rear, there are rotating screws. The screws have the function to give the force to the resin into the barrel that is being heated using certain temperature based on the polymer type. It can be around 392°F to 527°F. The temperature is controlled gradually from the rare side of the barrel to the front side of the barrel. It is to avoid the overheating that can affect the polymer. To create the hollow sections of the tubes, the pins are placed on the die. The number of pins is determined by how many holes are going to be created.

The plastic extrusions can be a type of high volume manufacturing. And the whole process is done using special extrusion machine. You may never notice the process but you can see the results everywhere. The most visible results are the tubing. The straw you use to drink your favorite milkshake can be one of the most familiar examples.
